Love in Action is a service ministry reflecting god’s call to love others and our desire to serve through our commitment to stewardship. Love in action ministers will provide compassionate care and assistance to parishioners during times of crisis or difficulty, always maintaining dignity and comfort by supporting families and caregivers with respect.
Services will include but are not limited to:
provide respite care for caregivers of homebound individuals. (Hospice, Alzheimer’s, etc.)
provide transportation to medical appointments
assist with grocery shopping or running errands for families in need
provide assistance or respite to parishioners in assisted living or nursing home communities
provide respite for caregiver to attend mass when needed
provide needed assistance in various capacities via communication with pastoral coordinator and/or pastor concerning specific parish family needs. Volunteers will always be given consideration in regard to location, travel, and comfort level before being asked to commit to helping a family. Love in Action Ministry holds quarterly meetings on the third Thursday of the month. This ministry will commit to one service project outside of the parish each year to be decided upon at a later date. Only those volunteers interested and available are asked to participate in this event.
